The Early Childhood Resource Center and the Canton Museum of Art are partnering on Elevate & Create, a series of free educational sessions designed to help children build early visual literacy and foster healthy social-emotional development.
The hour-long sessions are held the first Thursday of each
month. While they are created for children aged 3-years-old, siblings are
welcome to attend.
Upcoming sessions include:
- Earth, Fire, and Water on July 2 from 10-11 am: Inspired by the museum’s Earth, Fire, Water: The Elements of Watercolor & Ceramics, families will explore the playful nature of watercolor and play. There will also be time in the art studio for children to make their own artwork. This session will be at the Canton Museum of Art, located at 1001 Market Avenue North in Canton. Click here to register.
- Creating Outdoor Art on August 6 from 10-11 am: During this event, we will work together to create a giant mural for the outdoor play space at the Early Childhood Resource Center. The colorful work of art is about dreaming big and bringing energy and joy to the Early Childhood Resource Center’s community play space. This session will be at the Early Childhood Resource Center, located at 1718 Cleveland Avenue NW in Canton. Click here to register.
While each session is free, space is limited. Register to
attend today!
