The ECRC is committed to exploring and supporting career pathways for early childhood professionals in our community. Since March 2000, we have provided over 100 scholarships to individuals pursuing a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Renewal of a CDA Credential, an Associate Degree in early childhood education, or a Bachelor Degree in early childhood education. In 2002 the ECRC become a pilot site for T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Ohio~ a scholarship and compensation program that supports the education of early childhood professionals and aims to decrease teacher turnover rates.

In 2006, a scholarship fund has been established in memory of Leslie A. Deem. Awards will be given to deserving early childhood educators and caregivers who are seeking to further their professional development, learn best practices, and are in need of a financial "boost" to do so.

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Ohio ~ a scholarship and compensation program that supports the education of early childhood professionals and aims to decrease teacher turnover rates, is available through the Ohio Child Care Resource & Referral Association (OCCRRA). Centers who are currently in Step Up to Quality (steps 1, 2, or 3) are eligible to apply.
