 Our Vision

  • Parents have the knowledge and resources to support their children’s healthy development,
  • Children have access to high-quality early learning experiences,
  • Children begin kindergarten ready and eager to learn, and
  • Educators are equipped and ready to receive, educate, engage, and involve all children.

Our Programs

  • School readiness:  the SPARK kindergarten readiness program (Stark and Summit Counties)
  • Family engagement:  peer groups, parenting education, and parent-child programming
  • Professional development for educators: workshops, training, coaching, and resources

Our Resources

At our Canton office, we have:

  • A specialized children’s library (a branch of the Stark County District Library)
  • A production lab used by families and educators to create learning tools and resources
  • An Inspiration Station learning space equipped with developmentally appropriate toys and tools for families
  • Family Programs on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 9:30-10:30am
  • Weekly parenting peer group discussions Tuesdays at 9:30am
  • An outdoor playscape that’s gated, but never locked, for creative outdoor play

Child care resource and referral services are also available at our satellite offices  in Akron and Warren.
