The Early Childhood Resource Center offers a variety of weekly and special topic programs for children and families. Children's programs provide fun, interesting experiences that support your child's development and provide ideas on how to extend the learning at home. Weekly programs include Storytimes for infants, toddlers and preschoolers and Creative Arts sessions. Special topic workshops are organized around a special monthly focus and include opportunities to engage in hands-on experiences that extend your child's knowledge and understanding of everyday concepts.
Storytimes engage your child in interactive language arts experiences that promote reading, writing and social readiness. Programs offer your child an opportunity to immerse themselves in high quality books and activities that extend the learning.
For Preschoolers 10:00 AM
For Infants and Toddlers 11:00 AM
Creative Arts sessions give your child time to use a variety of art materials such as paint, craft supplies, fabric and clay in unique ways. At times your child will work alone to create their very own masterpiece, or they may work as a group to create a beautiful piece of art. Both experiences will encourage your child's intellectual, physical and social development in a fun, comfortable and safe atmosphere.
Tuesdays 10:30 AM
Registration is required. Inspiration Station sessions are 1 hour and include a healthy snack. Programs are FREE to members and $5 for non-members. To register for Inspiration Station programs and Parent Cafe’s, please contact David Kerber at 330.491.3272 Ext. 5684 or by email.
“When we treat children's play as seriously as it deserves, we are helping them feel the joy that's to be found in the creative spirit. It's the things we play with and the people who help us play that make a great difference in our lives.” -Mr. Rogers
